As a Program Supervisor at Devereux Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer an environment that is supportive, educational and clinically focused.  Devereux Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) provides programs and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis within a safe and compassionate inpatient environment. Located in Malvern, PA this position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a therapeutic rapport with adolescents while assisting, supporting and instructing individuals in self-help, coping skills and positive behavioral interventions outlined in a clinical treatment plan.

 

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and  approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION:   Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services discipline to include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation, criminal justice, counseling; and a minimum of two years direct care experience; OR 60 college credits from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline (as described above), and three years direct care experience.   

 

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.   

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSSignificant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques – upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposesAbility to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches (S&PA) techniques.
