Then considering joining our Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health team. While our needs are dynamic, we currently an independent psychologist for multiple locations throughout southeastern PA.

You will work with other dedicated professionals throughout Pennsylvania who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We Offer:
- Ability to conduct school-wide and class-wide climate assessments, provide behavioral consultation services to teachers, and participate in outcome initiatives.
- Ability to consult with district and/or school leadership teams to improve school climate and student behaviors.
- Develop and implement training programs using an active training style.
- Participate in the design and implementation of applied research and engage in data-based decision making at the school and individual student levels.

 

The Center for Effective Schools (CES) is a non-profit research and training center dedicated to building the capacity of schools and other child-serving institutions to better serve children and adolescents with, and at risk for developing, emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD). This mission is accomplished through training, consultation and applied research. The CES is a division of Devereux’s Institute of Clinical and Professional Training and Research. Established in 1999, the CES is located in King of Prussia, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. From its inception, the primary focus of the organization was and continues to be addressing the needs of children with and at risk for EBD and their families by promoting effective practices, informed by scientific evidence, to improve lives. Reporting to the Director for CES, the School Psychologist will provide a full range of school psychological services to children ages 5-21, including assessment and intervention planning, consultation, and systems support. These services may be provided on assignment in a traditional school setting or as part of the CES team.

Qualifications

Education:

MEd or EdS in School PsychologyMEd or EdS in School Psychology

- Active PA Dept of Education Educational Specialist Certification in School Psychology.
- Strong written communication and time management skills. Demonstrates a working knowledge of current research-based professional practices in school psychology and education. Experience working in schools.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Some walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Regular use of computers and office equipment. Infrequent driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of essential S&PA techniques.
