As a Life Skills coach at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer:
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Based in Ossining, NY, the Life Skills Coach position will assist individuals in the OPWDD Employment Training Program to maintain and learn skills at community employment sites towards the individual's independence. In addition, they will complete daily, monthly, and other documentation as required, and assist in the training of other staff in the instruction and support of individuals in the community, if necessary. The Life Skills Coach will communicate regularly with the program coordinator, OPWDD Employment Training Program Coordinator, MSC, parents, and the individual as necessary to maintain the integrity of the program.

Salary: (commensurate with education and experience)
With HS Diploma/GED - $19.50 - $21.25 per hour
With BA/BS - $20.50 - $22.34 per hour
With MA/MS or higher - $21.50 - $23.43 per hour

Education: BA or BS in education, psychology, or related field preferred. We will waive the educational requirement if an individual is enrolled in a Bachelor’s program and is taking courses toward a degree, or has a year’s experience in the field of vocational or adult services.
Experience: One year experience with special needs individuals preferred.
