We are currently seeking a Reading Specialist who excels working with children who have challenging behaviors in a classroom setting. This position will support our approved private school for an emotional support and behavioral health population located at [2650 Eisenhower Ave, Suite A101, Norristown, PA 19403].
The Reading Specialist position is part-time with the ability to work one of the following schedules:
9:30am-2:30pm (Monday - Friday) OR 8am-3:30pm (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday)

Devereux Day Academy is a private academic school program located in Norristown, PA. Devereux Day Academy is licensed to serve students in grades K-12 who have been identified with the following primary disabilities: Intellectual Disability, Autism, Emotional Disturbance, Specific Learning Disability, and Speech or Language Impairment. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Education and /or Special Education required. Pennsylvania Department of Education Reading Specialist Certification required. Wilson Reading System Level I Certification preferred or willingness to obtain Wilson certification.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in a school teaching environment required. Experience providing specially designed instruction preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to lead group meetings and interface with internal and external stakeholders.
