Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is one of the largest and most advanced behavioral healthcare organizations in the country. Nestled near the beaches between the Pacific Coast and Santa Ynez mountains, Devereux California is a therapeutic behavioral health treatment facility offering residential services, community living, day programs, and clinical services for adults with multiple diagnoses, including autistic spectrum disorders, emotional and/or behavioral differences, intellectual and developmental disabilities, dementia and other cognitive disorders.
As a Cook, you will prepare all food items, manage food services operations, and ensure that the food service area remains clean, orderly and sanitized in an institutional setting. You will follow federal and state guidelines in the planning, preparing and serving of meals to individuals served.

The schedule is 9am-5:30pm with some flexibility
Compensation is $20-21/hr DOE
Education: High School Diploma required. Must possess or be willing to obtain food safety certification.
Experience: Minimum two years of experience, preferably in a similar setting. Educational requirements will be waived if candidate can demonstrate five (5) years’ experience in food service, preferably in an institutional setting.
Physical Requirements: Free of dependency or abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants or other chemical or controlled substance. Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting of 25 lbs. or more.
