We are currently seeking a full time Job Coach to provide supervision, direction, training and coaching within community based employment training sites to adolescents with Autism Diagnosis who are preparing to age out of the educational system at our School for Integrated Learning located in West Chester, PA.

Pay rate: $18.50 - $21.09 per hour (based upon experience and education)

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year round position)

Every day as a Job Coach you will: 

• Work with team to assess skills and level of functioning/participation
• Works with students to achieve a level of accomplishment and productivity that allows for greater employment independence
• Acts as a liaison between the employer/community based employment site and Devereux
• Documents progress and involvement of students
• Provides information and input based on level of participation, functioning and progress to goals

The School for Integrated Learning focuses on building upon the unique strengths of each student. The goal of the School for Integrated Learning is to create individualized educational opportunities that enable each student to live as a positive, healthy and socially-connected individual in his or her community. Each student has an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), which outlines goals for skill development and the best strategies by which the student can reach his/her goals. A multi-disciplinary team, including the individual’s parent(s) or guardian, regularly reviews the plan to discuss challenges, progress and adjustments to goals as appropriate. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments.

EDUCATION: HS Diploma required, Bachelors degree in education, psychology, social work, or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Two years experience working with adolescents and young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders in a transition and employment setting. Experience with applied behavior analysis techniques required.
