Description

If working in a community setting with boys and girls ages 9-16 years old with non-verbal, intellectual developmental disorders and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders sounds like a rewarding career then look no further!

Base pay $19.53/hour + additional compensation for higher education and/or years of experience in the field, up to $22.76.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2pm (40 hr/week) 

$1,000 Sign On Bonus!

 

With a ratio of 1 staff to 2 students during the day, we are able to offer specialized care to these young people with emphasis on teaching daily living and coping skills.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts and Rhode Island provides programs and services for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Located in Rutland, MA, this position is responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned and provides and ensures therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Active driver’s license is required.
  • High School diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education preferred.
  • Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
  • Must be able to attend a 2 week paid orientation, which runs Monday-Friday,  8AM - 4PM
  • Schedule:  Days (6a-2p, M-F)
