Seeking a Cosmetology Teacher
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-4pm, Non-Exempt (hourly) role
Starting at $21.53/hour plus extra for years of experience & $1,000 sign on bonus
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cosmetology Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire and educate students in the art and science of cosmetology, preparing them for successful careers in this dynamic field. The Cosmetology Teacher will provide hands-on training, classroom instruction, and real-world applications, ensuring students gain the practical skills, knowledge, and certification needed in the beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cosmetology curriculum that aligns with state standards and industry requirements.
- Instruct students in various cosmetology techniques, including hair cutting, coloring, styling, skincare, makeup application, and nail technology.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure individual success.
- Maintain a well-equipped and sanitized classroom and salon environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare students for state licensing examinations and career opportunities within the cosmetology field.
- Collaborate with industry professionals and local salons to provide students with job shadowing, internships, and employment opportunities.
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and technology through continuous professional development and networking.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and community outreach events.

Qualifications:
- Valid cosmetology license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in the cosmetology field, including salon experience.
- Previous teaching experience or experience working with high school students is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Passion for educating and mentoring students in a supportive and engaging manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and the community.
- HS diploma or GED required
