Position: Intellectual Disabilities Residential Supervisor

Schedule: Full Time, hourly, 37.5-hour workweek

Pay Range:$25.31/hour up to $30.10/hour

Location: Greater Pittsburgh Area

Sign-on Bonus: $3,000*

What to Expect: 

 

In the role, you will develop and direct the residential services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. It is the primary duty of the residential supervisor to ensure that all services and employees are compliant with the federal and state regulations (waiver standards), including all provider qualification requirements as well as all regulations established by the state Office of Developmental Disabilities Department, OMA, Allegheny County and other federal, state and contractual agreements. We are looking for people who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities. This position is designed to:

 

  • Oversee daily operations of two residential sites.
  • Act as program specialist for assigned individuals.
  • Recommend potential candidates for the habilitation specialist and senior habilitation specialist positions to the IDD Residential Manager.
  • Complete new employee orientation within 6 months of hire, and assure new employee orientation packets are completed.
  • Participate in 24 hours of training each fiscal year including all required training.
  • Complete staff evaluations within one (1) month of their due date.
  • Submit staff time sheets within established timelines; verify staff expense vouchers; process requisitions; complete work orders to maintenance department and complete monthly billing within established timelines.
  • Assure completion of monthly House Council Meetings.
  • Assure the monthly staff schedule provides sufficient staff coverage.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the individuals’ ISP’s, required medical and follow-up appointments.
  • Assure the completion and accuracy of daily, monthly and quarterly documentation and utilize Qualifacts for record keeping.
  • Oversee monthly fire drills, site inspections and fire safety equipment inspections.

 

 

*Prospective employee hired for this position will receive a $3,000 sign on bonus. The employee will receive the first third of the bonus after the successful completion of three (3) months of employment, the second third of the bonus will be awarded after the successful completion of six (6) months of employment, and the final third will be awarded after achieving a "satisfactory" rating or higher on the annual performance evaluation.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services and three (3) years of related experience, including two (2) years as supervisor, OR Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and five (5) years of related experience, including two (2) years as a supervisor, OR Associates Degree and eight (8) years of related experience with four (4) years as a supervisor.
  • Must have clear FBI, Act 33 and 34 clearances.
  • Valid PA Driver’s License and 3-year driving record.
