Devereux Arizona’s Therapeutic Foster Care Program serves children and adults with significant behavioral and emotional needs. Individuals are referred to Devereux via Arizona behavioral health networks, and several tribal entities. Therapeutic foster parents are extensively trained to address each individual's intense needs and work with them toward their treatment goals.

 

Located in Phoenix, AZ, the Therapeutic Home Specialist (THS) will help support the therapeutic home providers in maintaining and delivering high quality behavioral health services to clients who have a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral complications. This position participates as an active member of the treatment team by conducting assessments, facilitating service/treatment plan development, review and implementation, as well as developing, supporting, and monitoring behavioral interventions. The THS also performs crisis intervention/stabilization through consultation and support; and coordinating services as needed.

 

Position Details:

Pay Range: $20.00-$22.00/hr. (based on experience/education)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Four  (4) years’ related experience OR one (1) year experience with a Bachelor’s degree

OTHER:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check AND reliable vehicle
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Must attend two (2) weeks of New Hire Orientation (paid) Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
