Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (DCBHC), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and  approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. 

 

As  the Assistant Executive Director of Devereux PA Children's Services, you will be responsible to: 

  • Assist in creating systems that allow Center leadership to develop programs, service and standards to meet the current and anticipated needs of internal and external customers, including individuals served, families, and funding, licensing and other regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in overseeing the development and maintenance of a positive work environment designed to attract and retain a stable, progressive, caring and diverse workforce needed to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services.
  • Promote an open, inclusive work environment that emphasizes cooperation and teamwork, and promotes the continued development of all employees.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to address changing markets or reduce risk.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of positive consumer and community awareness programs and activities.
  • Provide supervision and oversight for assigned departments as well as assigned residential and educational sites.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Health Care, Human Services, Education, or Business Administration. Graduate level credentials in a behavioral health, healthcare administration or related field required. Minimum of eight years experience in a senior level management role, within a campus-based behavioral health environment required.

 

EXPERIENCE: Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).  Strong organizational skills.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.

 

Valid driver's license must be maintained.
