Being a Development and Grants Manager at Devereux has its Advantages! The Development and Grants Manager will lead development and fundraising efforts for all Devereux Florida programs throughout the state.

 

Devereux Florida provides behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and families across the state. Our programs include residential treatment, outpatient therapy, foster care and adoption support, mobile crisis response, and specialized services for autism, trauma, and human trafficking survivors. Located in Orlando, FL, this position is responsible for:

  • Identify potential grant opportunities, write proposals, and execute according to submission timeline.
  • Increasing the number of donors, through targeted outreach and engagement
  • Community presentations that enhance visibility and support
  • Actively participate in advisory board meetings to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with the National development department to ensure development and fundraising activities are approved and required data is reported accurately
  • Build the Devereux Florida brand among targeted donors through strategic marketing and relationship-building efforts.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events that support our balanced scorecard goals
  • Manage all development related public relations, media relations, advertising and communications needs with media and public relations vendors and other departments 

 

Position Details:

Salary:  Starts at $90,000 (rate is based on education and relevant experience).

Qualifications

EDUCATION:  Bachelor's degree in Development, Communications, Marketing/Public Relations, Journalism, Management or related field.  Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for formal education.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of five years professional experience in fundraising and grant writing, preferably in the Healthcare or Human Services field. 
  • At least three years managing Development and/or major gifts programs.

 

OTHER:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Position requires flexible work schedule to include some evenings and weekends. 
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test.
