The pay for this position starts at $68,702/year, with additional compensation added for higher education, licensure, and/or years of relevant experience up to $78,320/year. 

This position is located in Rutland, MA. 

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.

$1,000 Sign-on Bonus.

 

Devereux Massachusetts & Rhode Island is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Based in Rutland, MA, our day and residential school provides special education and treatment for youth ages 6-22 including diagnostic and assessment services, extended evaluation and placement options.

 

As the Special Education Coordinator, you will:

  • Asses and develop IEP documents in compliance with DESE regulations and state & federal laws.
  • Chair IEP meetings for students placed within Devereux School.
  • Assess student progress trends and identify students in need of additional supports.  
  • Provide guidance and training to Devereux School personnel on IEP implementation and compliance, DESE regulations, and state and federal education laws.
  • Coordinate with the Curriculum Director to ensure the provision of FAPE, individualized accommodations, and specialized instruction for all students.
  • Actively participate in School Leadership Meetings and school wide incentive initiative programing for students.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Master's degree required.
  • Massachusett's DESE licensure as a Special Education Administrator required. 
  • Minimum 3 years teaching experience in a special education classroom required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership role required.
  • Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA
