Shift: Days/Hours vary based upon the needs of the kitchen, some weekends

 

Every day as a Food Service Manager you will:

  • ​Oversee total food service operations. Responsible for following regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrates the skills, knowledge and abilities to develop, implement, and manage projects.
  • Support School Nutrition process.  Responsible for the scheduling and maintenance of scheduling for food service Personnel to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Demonstrates the skills, knowledge and abilities to develop, implement, and manage sound budgetary
    practices.
  • Oversees procurement process and inspects foodstuffs, supplies, and equipment to maintain stock levels and ensure standards of quality are met.  Requests repairs and replacement of equipment as necessary to ensure continuous operation.
  • Demonstrates the skills, knowledge and abilities to understand, implement, as well as impact regulatory guidelines and professional standards.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and  approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.  A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Chester County Food Handler’s Certification and ServSafe Certification required

 

EXPERIENCE:  Five years experience in food service management in an congregate setting. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications experience/skills required.  Proficient in the use and application of Microsoft Office software programs. 

Valid driver’s license must be maintained.
