As a member of our Information System team at our Georgia center, you will support the daily operations of our center's computers and telecommunication networks. You will perform troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and installation of software and hardware on desktop, laptop, networking and telecommunications systems including data, video and voice. This consists of first and second level technical support for the entire user community of the Devereux Foundation. In addition, you will provide school-wide educational technology leadership through the development, coordination and delivery of resources that support student academic achievement and supports implementation of instructional initiatives through collaboration with district-level leadership. As the Information Systems Specialist, you will ensure that current information systems needs are met.

 

Preferred Experience: A+ Certification, Network and Computer Systems, Routers, Switches, Access Point, End User Support, Trouble Shoot.

 

Travel: 25% (This role will support our main campus in Kennesaw, as well as our facilities in Lawrenceville & Morrow, GA)

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION: Minimum of 60 credits in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Business Administration, Education or related field . An equivalent number of years of related experience may be considered as a substitute for formal education.

 

EXPERIENCE: Two years in Information Systems preferred with a minimum of one year of networking. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and problem solving skills.  Requires an ability to be adaptable, flexible, and change activities quickly according to business needs.

 

Other Preferred Experience: A+ Certification, Network and Computer Systems, Routers, Switches, Access Point, End User Support, Trouble Shoot.

 

Other qualifications:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; problem-solving and multi-tasking skills are required.

  • Valid Driver's License required; Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results.

  • On-call, weekend availability and some holidays required.

  • Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily.
