Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) is seeking to hire a Full Time Food Services Supervisor to support our cafeteria located on our Chester County campus'.  In this role you will oversee food service operations. In addition, you will supervise and assist with daily food preparation, sanitation procedures, preventive equipment maintenance, and food delivery.   You will instruct food service staff in the presentation and preparation of meals and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.   

Every day as a Food Service Specialist you will:

  • Drives operational success by implementing and delivering quality and appealing meals. 
  • Assists with ordering and supply inventory.

  • Establish best practices for complete kitchen operation.
  • Participate in the orientation of cooks and specialists by serving an instructional and mentoring role.
  • Prepare assessments/performance reviews.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and  approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:   High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required. College or vocational training in food service management or culinary schooling preferred. Food handlers’ certification required.  Knowledge of School Nutrition Program preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:  In lieu of college or culinary schooling, 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a food service setting.
