We have an exciting opportunity for you at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Rutland, Massachusetts!  We are seeking Teachers' Aides (DSP's) in our Devereux school. You could be a part of an exceptional team of teachers, aides, clinicians, speech and language pathologists, and occupational therapists.  You will be supporting the needs of students in grades K-12 and beyond, as they work towards diplomas and learn vocational, transitional, and social-emotional skills.  Our school currently has a census of 80 students and growing.  Our beautiful location brings together students who live on campus with students who are living at home.  The special education they receive is the foundation that weaves the services together into a unified whole, making the Teachers’ Aide role a crucial part in helping students build skills and being successful in our self-contained classrooms.

Our students have typically experienced multiple academic failures, most often resulting from a wide variety of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.  We utilize and train our staff with principles from PBIS, DBT, and Trauma-informed care to support the students' needs in a learning environment.

We offer staff the resources to be successful in their role and provide them with opportunities for growth within the organization. After just six months full time Teachers' Aides at Devereux receive access to tuition assistance and Loan Forgiveness Programs, as well as a supportive leadership team that works to promote them in their growth. We are shaped by growing Servant Leadership and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives within our school.
