Description

We are seeking a highly visible and mission‑driven leader to oversee Strawberry Fields Inc.’s operations, in alignment with Devereux’s mission, to change lives and unlock human potential.

 

The Executive Director plays a critical role in advancing Devereux/Strawberry Field’s mission by leading compassionate and high‑quality residential and community‑based services for individuals with emotional, behavioral, cognitive, developmental and intellectual disabilities. This executive‑level position has full operational, fiscal, and people leadership responsibility, and serves as a strategic partner to Devereux’s regional and corporate leadership teams.

 

This role reports to the Vice President of Operations.

 

In this impactful role, you will:

  • Advance Devereux/Strawberry Field’s mission by providing strategic and operational leadership for high‑quality residential and community‑based services.
  • Oversee program development, delivery, and continuous improvement to ensure excellence, compliance, and responsiveness to changing market needs.
  • Ensure full regulatory, licensing, and accreditation compliance while championing continuous quality improvement and risk management best practices.
  • Lead financial strategy and accountability, including profit and loss oversight, resource allocation, and financial recovery planning, as needed.
  • Identify and execute growth opportunities through new program development, marketing, and strengthened customer and community partnerships.
  • Build and sustain a positive, inclusive workplace culture that attracts, develops, and retains a high‑performing, diverse workforce.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary leadership team; set clear performance expectations and ensure timely evaluations and feedback.
  • Implement and monitor People Operations systems, workforce metrics, and training to support current operations and future leadership needs.
  • Promote effective communication, collaboration and conflict resolution across all levels of the organization.
  • Represent the organization externally by fostering community awareness and supporting fundraising and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, human services, business administration or related field.
  • Graduate-level credentials in behavioral health or administrative field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a senior level management role with Devereux or a comparable organization.
  • Strong administrative, programmatic and operational experience in a multi-disciplinary treatment environment.
  • Experience overseeing the delivery of residential treatment and community programs preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and customer service skills are essential
