Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizona’s 24-hour Residential Treatment Center (RTC) has the capacity to serve 52 children. The RTC is a safe, supportive environment that provides various services to youth, from the ages of 7 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. The Campus features dormitories, a therapeutic K-12 day school, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services.

As a Direct Care Professional (DCP), you will work directly with the children/youth to be seen as a positive role model - dedicated and truly caring about their well-being. DCP’s mentor and have fun with kids doing various year-round activities such as art projects, music groups, animal therapy, various athletics (basketball, soccer, Frisbee, etc), and adulthood transition prep! You will assist and support the planning, implementation, and documentation of those programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of individuals on Campus.
As a Lead Direct Care Professional (Lead DCP) are responsible for the health and safety of campus individuals, as well as assisting Program Managers with the supervising, planning, and implementation of day-to-day program activities. Direct support duties: helping individuals with their mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, de-escalating crisis situations, treatment plan implementation, personal care (bathing, dressing), medication management, transport, fostering social skills, and supporting direct care staff. Other duties include being an active member of the treatment team, assisting with managing behaviors in accordance with the individualized treatment plans, and facilitating programming that promotes treatment goals and developmental skills. Lead DCP's serve as a role model, mentor, leader, and trainer to Direct Care Professionals. Lead staff also assist with the planning and implementation of enrichment activities such as art projects, music groups, culinary arts, various athletics (basketball, soccer, swimming), and adult-transition prep!
