As a Special Education Program Manager, you will assist in managing and promoting the Devereux California Educational Programming; specifically, the special education classrooms work; provide supervision to the professionals and instructional assistances that will result in the achievement of the educational, social, and emotional, goals of the students. Supports the professional development of staff by creating, developing, directing, maintaining, and evaluating the range of direct and support services provided to students. The position requires knowledge of state-specific policy, adherence to IDEA, and competency in IEPs, positive behavior support strategies, classroom management, and MTSS/PBIS/RTI. This leader must foster and maintain successful relationships with the education-based agencies at the state and local level, supervisees and consultees in the programs, and colleagues in the education services division.

Education and Credentials: Master’s degree in special education or related field and professional license in the state of California are required. This includes a California Department of Education certification as a supervisor of special education, pupil services, principal or education administrator and/or licensure as a clinical social worker, psychologist, marriage and family therapist, educational psychologist, or professional clinical counselor.
Experience: At least five years (two of which must be in leadership capacity) experience in an educational setting working with individuals with emotional and behavioral needs and/or other special education populations. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms. Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.
Valid driver's license must be maintained.
