As the Director of Nursing you will.....

  • Directs Center nursing activities to assure the delivery of quality nursing services, in accordance with established nursing procedures, regulatory requirements, Devereux Standards of Care and best practices.
  • Serves as a nursing expert: provide leadership, training, and ongoing support to nursing staff in our Kennesaw, Lawrenceville and Hampton Offices.
  • Maintains adequate workforce and staffing levels to ensure compliance to quality of care and ratios.
  • Establishes and updates nursing policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with other departments including medical, admissions, operations, quality management, etc.
  • Participates in regulatory site visits, investigations and quality management initiatives.
  • Leads by example through active, hands-on support of the nursing team, providing assistance in clinical operations and resident care areas as needed to ensure high-quality outcomes and team success.

Devereux Georgia offers a comprehensive range of services designed to improve the lives of children, adolescents, and young adults. Our intensive residential treatment caters to youth aged 10-21 with significant emotional, behavioral, and intellectual/developmental challenges, providing a serene campus with outdoor activities. We also offer specialty foster care for youth with special medical, psychological, social, and emotional needs in the metro Atlanta region and across Georgia. Our on-site accredited school features small class sizes, special education services, and career technical education, giving older individuals the chance to explore professional interests and gain valuable job skills. Youth can engage in "real life" work settings and earn a nationally recognized job readiness certificate.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Masters or in pursuit of a Masters of Nursing preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE: Four years of leadership nursing experience working with adolescents in a mental health setting required. Experience with Joint Commission/CARF accreditation preferred.
