In this role, you will:

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate structured activity programs, including creative arts, recreation, wellness, social skills, service-learning, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Facilitate therapeutic and recreational activities that support youths' social, emotional, behavioral, and developmental goals.
  • Create and maintain daily and monthly activity schedules and coordinate on-campus and community-based events and outings.
  • Collaborate with clinical, residential, PBIS, recreation therapy, and program leadership teams to ensure programming supports individualized treatment goals.
  • Monitor, document, and evaluate youth participation and engagement in activities and special programs.
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and retention in partnership with the Development Department.
  • Build relationships with community organizations and volunteers to enhance programming and expand available resources for youth.
  • Maintain activity spaces, equipment, and supplies to ensure a safe, organized, and engaging environment.
  • Participate in required trainings, multidisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties, special projects, and assignments as directed by leadership.

 

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia provides programs and services for adolescent with developmental diagnoses. Located in Hampton, GA.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience coordinating activities, youth programming, volunteer programs, or related services.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals receiving behavioral health services preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to facilitate engaging group activities and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification upon hire, preferred.
